Brahmaputra Foundation for Social Research & Livelihood Practice (BFFSR&LP) is a grassroots non-profit organization established in 2021 in Assam with the vision of addressing social and economic inequalities among underserved communities. We work closely with tea garden, rural, and riverine communities to improve access to education, healthcare, nutrition, livelihoods, and youth development opportunities.
At BFFSR&LP, we believe that sustainable development begins at the community level. Through participatory approaches, community-led research, skill development, awareness programmes, and local leadership-building initiatives, we empower individuals and communities to become self-reliant and active participants in their own development journey.
Our organization primarily works with children, adolescents, women, youth, and informal workers who face limited access to quality services and economic opportunities.

To build a just, inclusive, and resilient society where individuals, particularly from rural and marginalized communities, can lead empowered lives with equal access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our Mission

To drive inclusive and sustainable development through community-led research, capacity building, community media, and collaborative action. We engage with rural and marginalized communities, especially youth, women, children, and adolescents, to improve access to health, education, nutrition, and livelihoods while amplifying grassroots voices and strengthening local leadership.
